Sauk River Chain of Lakes, Inc. was formed in 1982 for the purpose of  improving the water quality of the lakes along the Sauk River in central Minnesota.  This organization is funded by yearly membership dues and is supported by many water quality organizations in the state of Minnesota.  Since incorporation, the volunteers of this organization have worked hard to educate the public about water quality and the effects of negligence.
